From 22nd of May till 25th of May was held in Barcelona the face to face course of the training for trainers of KeTLOD project.
During this week, 20 healthcare professionals representing the Chinese partners universities of KeTLOD consortium were engaged in active learning on how to teach organ donation at higher education level in terms of a postgraduate program.
The “training for trainers” activity started since middle of march with the online phase and got finalized this week with the face to face phase. The aim of this step was to train the Chinese professionals in “how to teach” organ donation to their future students. Once go back to China they will start the practices for opening the organ donation postgraduate program in their respective universities. They will be the transmitters of the knowledge to 140 students that will enroll the KeTLOD postgraduate program within the next few months.
Experts in education and experts in organ donation from DTI foundation, University of Barcelona, University of Bologna and University of Nice were leading the training. Active workshops and active team building exercises characterized the education program. Motivation and involvement from the participants made the course very pleasant and the outcomes very optimistic.
Following the week, on Friday 26th the activities continued with the celebration of the midway of the KeTLOD project development. At the Parc Scientific of Barcelona all the KeTLOD representatives got together with the invited authorities of University of Barcelona, Catalan Transplant Organization (OCATT), The general consul of China in Barcelona and the representative of the Parc Scientific of Barcelona. Greetings messages and feedback speeches were made from the participants.
During this celebration, the 20 Chinese professionals received the diploma of accomplishment of the Training for Trainers course, and symbolic gifts were delivered to the Universities of Barcelona, Bologna, Nice and DTI foundation from the Chinese delegation.
