For the 3rd time this august, DTI Foundation were pleased to organize the 3rd Transplant Procurement management course in Hong- Kong.
Together with the Hospital Health authority of Hong Kong, The Queen Mary hospital and the international expertise team of TPM-DTI the third Transplant Procurement Management course was held from 13th till 15th of August 2018.
This 3-days course was attended by 40 health care professionals, mainly from Intensive care unit, Neurology and Neurosurgery departments working in the most important hospitals of Hong- Kong. The training covered basic concepts and procedures of the donation process focused on the needs identified with the local team. Lectures, discussions and onsite simulation were the principal components of the training program. The participatory approach of this training encouraged interaction, personal opinions and experiences to be shared with the experts.
The support given by the local faculty helped in shaping the course and delivering it in the most beneficial way for the participants. We do believe the scientific knowledge and technical skills gained form this course will develop the participants professional’s competences as specialists in the field of organ donation.
